Swan Knight of Dol Amroth

As I've mentioned previously, my main source of inspiration for Gondorean culture is Ancient Rome and Greece. The Swan Knights from the fiefdom of Dol Amroth are slightly more Greek than the soldiers of Minas Tirith, particularly the helmet and the shield. The leg armour and the gear on the horse is more medieval West-European in inspiration. The big wings on the knight's back are copied from 16th century Polish hussars. The wings should in all reason look thoroughly ridiculous and function merely as decoration, but apparently the hussars were crazy enough and rode to battle wearing them, which makes the wings look much more respectable. Either way, I thought they would fit the image of the Swan Knights, to make them stand out even more as a distinct part of Gondor's military and culture.
